The name, explained

Shawdy  Β·  noun  Β·  a two-way standout

A Softball Shawdy is what you call a player when she makes plays on defense and hits home runs.

Not just a hitter. Not just a glove. A Shawdy changes the game on both sides of the ball β€” she takes runs away in the field, then goes and gets them back at the plate.

🧀 On defense β€” she makes plays

The diving stop, the web gem, the throw on a rope to beat the runner. When her team needs an out, a Shawdy finds a way to make it happen.

πŸ’₯ At the plate β€” she hits home runs

Power with presence in the box. A Shawdy doesn't just make contact β€” she can leave the yard and change the scoreboard with one swing.

Defense and dingers. That's a Shawdy β€” and that's the standard this brand is named for.

Meet Lil Shawdy

Big bat. Bigger dreams. Lil Shawdy is the mascot at the heart of the brand β€” a young ballplayer with braids, gold beads, and a bat almost as big as her confidence, waving under a Georgia sunset.

She's who this whole thing is for: the little girls picking up a glove for the first time, and the players they're growing into. You'll see her on Shawdy merch, stickers, and right here β€” cheering on every player in the Showcase.

🧀 Shawdy-designed gloves β€” in development

Shawdy is designing its own gloves under the brand: a black-and-gold fielder's glove for catching and fielding, and black-and-gold batting gloves for the plate. Lil Shawdy energy, built into the gear itself.

One site, two jobs

A store β€” and a stage

Most softball shops just sell stuff. Shawdy does that and gives young players a place to be seen. Families come for the spotlight, and stay for the gear.

Shawdy of the Week

One player, front and center on the homepage, every week on rotation. It's the feature families share β€” and every share puts new eyes on the player and the shop. Any submitted player is in the running once she's featured in the Showcase β€” and true to the name, the honor goes to the two-way play that makes a Shawdy: plays on defense and home runs at the plate.

The first Shawdy of the Week will be named from the first Spotlight class.
